Costco’s Party Platters and Catering Options: A Convenient and Affordable Choice for Your Next Event

We all love to go to parties, but planning parties is a completely different story. It’s challenging, expensive and the worst of all stressful. One of the most stressful things about planning parties is the catering or feeding aspect of the party. Food is expensive and nowadays it seems that everyone has different dietary restrictions and food preferences.

For my most recent party that I threw, I used Costco’s catering options and party platters and it was one of the easiest experiences of my life. There were plenty of food choices and it was easy enough and stress free enough to get the order in and picked up for the party.

There are a lot of food options at Costco if you want to throw a party. You can get food from the frozen aisles, their deli, or you can order their party platters. The party trays are a great option if you are looking to feed a large amount of people at a birthday party, corporate gathering, or even a family reunion.

The beauty of the Costco catering menu is that it is simple, affordable, and delicious. The party platters come in bulk sizing as you would expect and are very neutral in taste (meaning great for a wide variety of taste buds). You won’t have to worry that somebody may not like the croissant sandwich or the chicken wraps, because these are generally accepted party foods.

1.  Croissant Sandwich Platter: A Decadent Delight

The Croissant Sandwich Platter is probably the go to dish for many people who order from Costco’s catering or party tray. The large platter includes 10 buttery croissant sandwiches which are cut in half and filled with meat and cheese.

There are three sandwich options in each tray and they include flavorful roast beef & cheddar, succulent ham and swiss and even the classic turkey and cheese sandwich. These are basic, but they work and they are going to go quick. The buttery croissant keeps everything moist and included condiments of mustard and mayo are on the side.

The chicken and swiss roller is an alternative to Costco’s croissant sandwich that will go just as fast when you leave them out at a party. Guests love grab and go type foods and this chicken wrap platter is made with lavash flatbread, cranberry cream cheese, sliced tomatoes, tender roasted chicken, swiss cheese, and crispy green leaf lettuce.

This party tray plays on the sweet and salty taste buds to create an absolutely tantalizing appetizer or main meal that will keep guests reaching for more.

This one’s for the meat and cheese lovers out there, or even those on a low carb keto diet. There is nothing fancy about this particular party tray, but Costco does do it right. The meat and cheese party tray provides some of your favorite lunch meats including sliced roasted chicken, black forest ham, and roast beef.

On top of these fine lunch meats, Costcos includes a trio of flavorful cheese: cheddar, provolone, and swiss. This is essentially the croissant sandwich tray without the sandwich. Perfect for those who want to top off their sandwich or just want a little extra food to snack on.

4. Shrimp Cocktail Platter

Shrimp Shrimp Shrimp. Shrimp is fancy and it definitely spices up any party. Costco’s ready to go party platter makes it easy and affordable to have shrimp at your next gathering. The shrimp platter tray includes cocktail sauce and perfectly cooked shrimp.

You may not think you need or even wanted shrimp cocktail at your event, but Costco makes it so easy and it really is something completely different from the rest of the catering options. Well worth it!

Catering is a lot of trouble, we all know this. It might even scare you away from even thinking about catering, but Costco’s catering option is a completely different story. The process is simple and as easy as picking up food from a local restaurant. There are three steps to a stress free and successful order.

1. Pick up a party platter ordering form from your local Costco Yes you will have to go to your local Costco to pick one up, but we all love making a weekly Costco trip anyways. The order forms are typically in the back of the warehouse near the meat and seafood department.
2. Fill out your order form Choose the catering or party tray options that you want for your party and fill out their short and simple ordering form. Don’t forget to include the date you want to pick up the party trays and your Costco membership number.
3. Pick up your food On the day of your party, go to Costco and head straight into the back of the warehouse where you dropped off the order form at . They will have the trays available for you, or you can even ask for help from one of the employees if needed. Yes, it really is that easy!

Final Thoughts

So I know that Costco doesn’t always have the very nicest or finest things in life, but they do bring a level of convenience and affordability paired with quality.
